What Makes a Ring Set?
A his-and-hers ring set consists of two rings — typically a wider band for the groom and a narrower or more delicate band for the bride — crafted from matching or complementary materials. In an antler ring set, both rings feature the same species of antler (and often the same general section of antler when possible), creating a visual connection between the two pieces even though each ring is individually handcrafted.
Why Choose Antler for a Wedding Set?
Deer antler ring sets appeal strongly to outdoor-oriented couples — hunters, hikers, nature lovers, and anyone whose life is oriented around the wild. The material carries meaning beyond aesthetics: it is naturally shed (no harm to any animal), organically grown, and unique to each piece. A couple wearing matching antler rings shares not just a design but a natural story.
How Sets Are Made
Our bench jewelers in Minneapolis craft each ring in a set individually. When possible, both rings are made from the same section of antler — preserving the visual consistency of grain and color. Each ring receives Ring Armor protective coating and free laser engraving up to 25 characters.
Sizing Both Rings
Since antler rings cannot be resized, both partners need to verify their sizes before ordering. We recommend that both partners order a custom ring sizer ($10) or follow the sizing methods on our sizing guide page before placing the set order.
Customizing a Set
Sets can be customized with different metals, widths, and combination materials. For example, a set might feature a wider titanium band with antler and meteorite inlay for him, and a narrower silver band with antler-only inlay for her. Contact Jewelry by Johan to discuss custom set configurations.
Engraving Sets
A popular choice for ring sets is complementary engraving — for example, each ring engraved with the other partner's name, a shared date, or matching coordinates. Free laser engraving up to 25 characters is included with every ring in the set.
