How to Measure at Home
String or paper strip method
Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on. Mark where it overlaps, then lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters. Match to the circumference column above.
Measure an existing ring
If you own a ring that fits well, measure its inner diameter in millimeters using a ruler. Match to the Inner Diameter column above.
Measure at the right time
Fingers expand and contract throughout the day and with temperature. Measure in the afternoon when your fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring first thing in the morning or in cold weather.
Consider ring width
Wider rings (8mm+) fit slightly tighter than narrow rings. If you are between sizes and selecting a wide band, consider going up half a size.
⚠️ Antler Rings Cannot Be Resized
Deer antler inlay rings — like all inlay rings — cannot be resized after they are crafted. The antler inlay is set into the metal band permanently; attempting to resize the band would destroy the inlay.
This is why getting your size right before ordering is so important. We strongly recommend ordering our custom ring sizer ($10) if you have any doubt about your size.

Sizing FAQ
What if I'm between sizes?
For comfort fit rings (rounded interior), go with your true size. For standard fit rings, go up half a size if you are between sizes and have a wide knuckle.
Do elk and moose antler rings come in larger sizes?
Yes — elk and moose antler is larger and suitable for rings in sizes 11 and above. Specify your preference when ordering at Jewelry by Johan.
Can I exchange a ring that doesn't fit?
We accept returns for in-store credit only. Since antler rings cannot be resized, please measure carefully before ordering. See our return policy for full details.
