Two Materials, Two Stories
A deer antler and meteorite combination ring carries two of the most remarkable material stories in nature. The antler was grown fresh last year by a living animal and shed naturally into the wild. The meteorite formed in the early solar system — billions of years ago — and survived the void of space, entry through Earth's atmosphere, and millions of years buried in the ground before it became part of your ring.
Side by side, the contrast is striking: the warm ivory of antler against the silver crystalline geometry of meteorite. Organic versus cosmic. Fresh versus ancient. The combination is genuinely unlike anything else in jewelry.
What to Expect Visually
Meteorite used in jewelry is typically Gibeon meteorite — an iron-nickel meteorite from Namibia that displays the Widmanstätten pattern: a geometric crystalline cross-hatching visible across the polished surface. This silver-grey geometric pattern sits in sharp visual contrast to the warm, organic, cellular texture of deer antler. Together in one band, they create a ring with remarkable visual depth.
Care Considerations
Both antler and meteorite require Ring Armor protective coating and basic care. Meteorite is susceptible to surface oxidation (rust) if the protective coating is compromised — keep the ring dry when not wearing it and avoid harsh chemicals. The antler care guidelines described in our care guide apply equally to the combination ring.
